  A Message from the President Thank you to Lone Star Ag Credit for sponsoring the FIRST Quarterly Chamber Luncheon which was held on July 10. Larry Bossier with Bossier Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram won the Microsoft Software in the drawing. We had over 50 chamber members participate in the event. Quarterly luncheons are supposed to be held quarterly. Guess What? We are having another luncheon on August 14 which will be sponsored by Hilco. You will read more about this in the newsletter. New businesses are popping up all over town. Today I learned of another new business. What Good News. Our ambassadors are reaching out to area businesses in a membership campaign. In the fall we will be compiling a new directory and want as many new members to be listed as possible. We are asked every day for a directory of Chamber members. Many good things are happening in Hillsboro. The next time you visit with a friend, share something GOOD about our community. Let’s celebrate all that is good in Hillsboro. Our Farmers Market is thriving, our museums offer a wealth of historical artifacts, our historical building and homes give visitors a glimpse of the past and our people shine a bright light on the future of Hillsboro. 2014 Hillsboro Sunflower Saturday Farm Tour

The 2014 Sunflower Saturday farm tour will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 21 at the Hillsboro Farmers’ Market on the West side of the Hill County Courthouse. The courthouse is located at 1 North Waco St., Hillsboro, TX 76645. After exploring the farmers market, participants will embark upon a morning of tasty experiences and education. The first stop will be Majestic Farms in Woodbury where participants will have an opportunity to pick fresh peaches, blackberries, and learn about high tunnel farming.
