The Parade with Light up the Evening — all  entrants are required to incorporate some form of Holiday lighting in their entry. 

Please participate and show you Christmas Spirit — You can download the entry form at http://www.hillsborotx.org/city-departments/main-street-program and return it to cmoore@hillsborotx.org or drop it off at the Utility Billing Department at the City Administration building at 214 E Elm Street.

The cost to participate in this year’s event will be a donation of toys to the Hillsboro Optimist Club’s Toys for Kids program.  The parade will begin at Hillsboro Junior High School at 6pm, continue to E Elm St where it will turn east and turn on N Pleasant Street before heading west on E Franklin Street and ending up at the Courthouse.  All entries are asked to be lined up at Hillsboro Junior High no later than 5:30pm.

The Christmas tree lighting will immediately follow the Christmas Parade on the east side of the Courthouse.  There will be holiday music along with local organizations providing free hot cocoa and selling hot apple cider, coffee, and baked treats.

In addition to all of these activities, A Tiskit A Taskit Antiques & Soda Fountain, located at 71 N Waco Street, will be playing host to Santa Claus from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, December 5th and providing cookies and milk to children who come to visit Santa.  Parents will also be able to take a picture of their child with Santa.
Colonial Grand Hall will also be hosting their annual Christmas Bazaar throughout the day on December 5th.  Those interested in being a vendor at the bazaar can contact Tonja at events@colonialgrandhall.com for more information on times and booth cost.

Christmas on Elm Street will conclude with the showing of the family Christmas movie, “Christmas With the Kranks,” inside Historic City Hall at 127 E Franklin Street at 8pm on December 5th
