After a major event in downtown Hillsboro, what does the chamber want to hear?

“I WOULD LIKE TO THANK CARROLL ESTES FOR BRINGING BACK THE CAR SHOW IN HILLSBORO. THERE WERE SO MANY BEAUTIFUL CARS AND THE PEOPLE WERE SO FRIENDLY. MR. ESTES BROUGHT ALOT OF BUSINESS TO MY STORE ON CHURCH ST. PURE DEE COUNTRY GIFT SHOP. THANKS AGAIN. IF YOU HAVE CAR SHOW AGAIN NEXT YEAR I WOULD LIKE TO BE A SPONSOR TO SHOW MY APPRECIATION.”

The Elm Street Rod Run brought such energy and pride to our downtown area.  This is what makes Hillsboro Great! Thank you Carroll Estes! – Natalie Meeks, Floral Gallery

“Saturday was a good day” – Millie – Frenkie’s Pizza and Italian Restaurant

“I don’t think I have seen this many out of town guests in Hillsboro since I have lived in Hillsboro.”
Vicki Hidde

WOW!  What a week-end!  No doubt we have the best business sponsors in Texas.  Your generosity is so appreciated.  Even more important is how you rolled out the Hillsboro Hospitality. Over the next 12 months there should be residual positive impact to the Roadside America Elm Street Rod Run.  One marketing expert told me that for every one classic car enthusiast who experienced an over the top hospitality experience we should expect to get 10 new visitors to Hillsboro.  Several people stopped to talk with me last Saturday to say, “This is an awesome car show.”  And then there are the emails and Facebook posts.
Creating momentum for all that is good about Hillsboro is the Chamber’s goal as we move forward.

The Mobile Stage was Rolled-Out at the Elm Street Rod Run. When I say the Dismantled Cotton Trailer, I was a little on the skeptical side.   How were we going from this to a mobile stage?

Then I heard Ronnie Fuch and Carroll Estes discuss the structural requirements for a stable structure.  I knew we would get to where we wanted to be and on Friday evening the stage was in place. And the feedback was this is a good structure.
