New mural pops up in the entrance of Walmart, and it definitely captures the “Hillsboro, Texas Spirit!”
A new mural has been created in the north entry of the newly renovated Walmart SuperCenter in Hillsboro, Texas….. and it’s “amazing”. Just in time for the grand reopening ceremony scheduled for Friday, July 25th 2025 at 9 am, shopper walked in the doors early in the morning on July 17th 2025, and “tada!” A marvel of muralism welcomed them.

The Walmart Community Mural Program is a celebration of communities across America and an important part of a new or newly transformed facility. Inspired by the community and together with every store manager, each mural reflects the local diversity and cultural references. Every mural is a unique, original artwork. Walmart works with NOW Art, a public art agency, to curate and engage artists across the country. Today, community murals are featured in hundreds of Walmart stores, and original artworks are unveiled weekly in newly transformed stores.
See their catalog of murals they have completed at other stores across the US at this link.

When we find out who the mural artist is, and the developing plans for the ribbon cutting ceremony and all weekend celebration starting July 25th, we will update this post, and share on our Hillsboro, Texas social media pages.
