Time is running out to reserve your spot for the annual Breakfast of Champions next Tuesday in Hillsboro (October 28th with a 7:30 start time), hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Hill County. Visit https://www.bgchillcounty.org/ to see more info, purchase a table, or buy individual tickets ***RSVP by this Friday***.

The annual event is largely attended by businesses and area leaders to enjoy breakfast and network – with this year’s event featuring speaker Luke Goetting giving an inspiring talk about how businesses can harness the convergence of generational transition and change in the workplace.

The Christmas parades are coming, and there’s time to assemble a team, and parade float concept to show up in our largest community facing parades:

Hillsboro – Saturday December 6th a 6pm
Whitney – Saturday the 13th

In general, Hillsboro’s Christmas festivities downtown are always scheduled on the first Saturday in December, and the Whitney, Texas’ parade falls on the second Saturday in December. (Many of our local businesses show up to both).

Please plan on adding ample elements of light to your parade entry, as both parades occur at dark. The only entry fee is an unwrapped toy that will be distributed by the Hillsboro Optimist Club to local children in need.

For more information, or to host a toy collection box at your business location, please call the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce at 254-582-2481.

We add new events every day that stretch out through New Year’s Eve and 2026, but suffice it to say, Hillsboro has something for everyone, so please check back often to our online calendar, available 24-7-365 at www.hillsborochamber.org.
