The biggest upcoming events include:

Hill College begins it’s performing arts series with the Light Crust Doughboys
Concert: 7:00 pm Tuesday, October 7, 2025. The pre-concert lecture/presentation: 6:15 pm in the PAC Theater at 112 Lamar Drive. See full details here

Timbers Court is opening this week!
You must RSVP by messaging Timbers via facebook messenger with your RSVP time and day, starting on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week. See the full details here and be sure to follow Timbers Court on facebook and help welcome them to Hillsboro.

Autumnfest returns Saturday.
The full day festival happens each October, and includes 10 am to 10 pm fun in downtown Hillsboro. See the full details here.

The Hill County Fossil and Mineral Show will also happen on Saturday and return on Sunday.
Saturday, October 11th open 9am-6pm
Sunday, October 12th open 11am-5pm

And on a slightly more serious note, we invite all citizens and businesses to attend council meetings, and find ways to get more involved in Hillsboro. Upcoming next week on October 15th are two opportunities to take part in the comprehensive planning process for Hillsboro, and give your input.

The Hillsboro Chamber will be at both meetings, as will leaders from the City of Hillsboro.

For attending City Council meetings, the public is invited to attend. Join us a 6 pm on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at City Hall. Meetings typically last 30 minutes to an hour, and at each council meeting the City Manager presents an update, and all council members and city staff welcome opportunities to meet the public and answer questions. City Hall is located in downtown Hillsboro at 127 E Elm Street. See the agendas for meetings at this link on the city website.
