This weekend is the annual Children’s Miracle Network 12th annual event, with a Friday kickoff featuring a free concert, a bbq dinner, brisket cook-off, and silent auctions at Hillsboro Country Club starting at 7 pm. You can enjoy dinner and the concert at the club even if you are not a member and help support this great cause. Next Tuesday: Do you have questions about City of Hillsboro projects or initiatives? The City is hosting a come and go “Grill the City Manager” event at 10:00 AM and 5:30 PM on Tuesday, September 10th at City Hall – 127 E Franklin Street in Hillsboro. Stop by to ask questions, share concerns, and get answers directly from the folks who work for you.

Tuesday, September 10th at 11:30 am: Lunch and Learn – Meet Pain Management Specialist Dr. Anam Azeem and enjoy an informative lunch and learn sponsored by Hill Regional Hospital. Silver Connections – a senior-focused community program that features lunch and learns, fun group activities and $5.00 weekday lunches for seniors.
Quality Storage Buildings in Itasca – builders of portable Cabins, Sheds, Dog Kennels, Garages, and Barns is hosting a BIG open house event on Saturday, September 14th from 9 am to 3 pm, with a ribbon cutting at their new location at 10:00 am. This one we are really charismatic about, and it’s an easy way to support a great local cause. Hill County Paw Pals’ biggest fundraiser of the year will be happening at the Outlet Mall in Hillsboro in September.Bring Your Donations: Hillsboro Outlet Mall, Suite 129 – September 17th through 21st 2024 – 9am – 4pm.Shop the Big Sale: Saturday September 28th 8 am to 5 pm and Sunday, September 29th from noon to 5 pm.
Join us for a very special Business After Hours hosted by Hill County Insurance and Julie Siddons Realtors and the Chamber from 5-7 pm at 225 E Elm Street in Hilslboro. Meet, greet, enjoy charcuterie & sips, and catch up and connect with business peers and community members. The night will also feature a Kendra Scott “give back” jewelry event with 20% of your purchases benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of Hill County.
The free outdoor music series at THE YARD – Downtown Hillsboro has three concerts left in the season. This Saturday night from 8-11 pm features The May Brothers. Ashmore will hit the stage with a BIG rock-n-roll performance on September 14th, and Southern Chrome (a Billy Bobs regular band) will wrap up the season on Saturday, September 21st, which also happens to be homecoming weekend in Hillsboro.
Autumnfest in Hillsboro is scheduled for Saturday, August 28th 2024. The full day HUGE fall festival in downtown Hillsboro is scheduled for September 28th, 2024 10:30 am to 10 pm. Children’s activities and inflatable alley, live music, a cider crawl, beer garden, with vendors and food trucks are elements of the all day affair. First Baptist Church in Hillsboro is celebrating their 150th anniversary the weekend of October 5th

Big Boy No 4014 will be rolling through Hillsboro on Wednesday, October 9th, between stops in Marlin and West.

Texas Through Time Museum will host a large rock and mineral show at their location on Saturday, October 12th.

The Hillsboro Chamber annual Dinner and Awards Show is scheduled for Thursday night October 17th from 6-8 pm

An Oktoberfest event is landing at THE YARD on Saturday, October 19th, presented by Ember Cigar Co.

Paw Pals’ golf tournament at White Bluff Golf Resort returns this year on Saturday, October 19th

Hillsboro’s own Mike Morgan will be in concert at Hillsboro Country Club on Friday night, October 25th.

Hillsboro Ag Boosters are planning a casino night at Hillsboro Country Club on Saturday night, November 9th.

The annual Friends of the Library Gala will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024

The annual Christmas Parade in Hillsboro is Saturday, December 7th with Whitney’s following the next weekend.

Hillsboro Heritage League will be sending out invitations soon for a Dueling Pianos event, set for December 19th.
