Texas Through Time Museum
110 North Waco St Hillsboro, TX 76645
Invitation to: Press, Community, Businesses
Please join us for a meet and greet press event at Texas Through Time Museum.
The event includes participation by Texas Through Time Museum, The Texas Rangers Baseball Club, Atkins Seasonings, the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce, City of Hillsboro, and paleontology and press organizations.
The event will commemorate the donation of a large Colombian Mammoth skull recently discovered in a sand and gravel quarry in Ellis County, Texas. The mammoth will become a project of Texas Through Time, Inc. to pursue ongoing excavation and preservation of the mammoth.
Texas Through Time will work on the mammoth in the fossil preparation lab on site at its 40k sf museum, and allow the public to follow the process, leading to a permanent public display of the finished restoration in a Pleistocene (ice age) exhibit featuring only fossils from Texas.
The 40,000-year-old Mammoth donation and restoration is being made possible in part by private donations and support from the Texas Rangers Baseball Team.
