City Comprehensive Plan meeting invitation to citizens for April 23rd and 24th
Public meetings will be held in Hillsboro, Texas to educate and invite feedback from citizens as the new comprehensive plan process kicks off. The meetings are scheduled for the following dates and times:
Wednesday, April 23, between 6 and 8 PM
Thursday, April 24, between 11:30 and 1:30
Both meetings will be held at the Eagle Historic Warehouse at 116 East Franklin in downtown Hillsboro.
To help understand what the meetings are about, and why it’s important that citizens attend, be aware, and offer feedback to the city, you can see a past comprehensive plan at this link. See the 2008 Comprehensive Plan at This Link. It’s quite interesting, and we are excited to update the plan in preparation for smart growth for Hillsboro Texas.
A comprehensive plan is a long-term, all-inclusive blueprint for a community’s future development, outlining desired land use, transportation, and other essential aspects. It acts as a guide for decision-making by city officials, particularly when it comes to zoning, land use, and infrastructure investments. Essentially, it’s a roadmap for how a community intends to grow and evolve over time.
If you have questions about the meetings in advance, please call the City of Hillsboro at 254-582-3271.
