Eclipse Town Hall Meetings for Hillsboro, Texas

The City of Hillsboro eclipse planning team has set town hall meetings for each fourth Tuesday of the month at Historic City Hall, 5:30pm.

The September 26th meeting will cover short-term rentals – renting your home or land or extra space to eclipse visitors.

The October meeting will be about eclipse events. Churches, nonprofits, venues, and businesses or individuals who would like to host an eclipse event are invited to meet directly with the planning teams and city officials to collaborate, place events on the calendar, and begin promoting the events to be hosted in Hillsboro.

The monthly meetings will continue until the April eclipse event.

Hillsboro will be in the exact center of the 120 mile wide path of the 2024 total eclipse. The center line below depicts the line of totality. Locations along the line of totality will experience the most dramatic total eclipse.

Additionally, Hillsboro is an attractive location for visitors who prefer a more rural experience – distanced from the hustle and bustle of Waco, Austin, and the DFW Metroplex. Hillsboro has one of the most beautiful, historic, downtown squares in the country. We are also conveniently situated between Dallas and Austin at the I-35E and I-35W split.

The City of Hillsboro is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our residents and visitors. See our About page for more information.
