“For years, the Hillsboro Outlet Mall has been an eyesore, a relic of the past standing stubbornly in our way. But now, its final chapter is here, and we’re sending it off with a bang—literally!
Join us for MALLMAGEDDON, a four-day celebration where we’ll bid farewell to the ghost town of empty storefronts and usher in a new era for Hillsboro.
This is more than just a demolition party — it’s a celebration of renewal. The walls will crumble, the dust will rise, and we’ll send this dead mall straight to oblivion.”
The preliminary schedule with details forthcoming is as follows: Carnival: April 17th – 20th / ‘90s Pop Up Club: April 18th and 19th / Rage Room: April 19th

In a matter of hours, the post had caught the attention of locals who have been waiting for news about the demolition of the mall, and hoping for official updates of the restaurants planned for what is to become “restaurant row” along the frontage of Interstate 35 in Hillsboro, Texas.
Currently, the facebook post is at 519+ shares on facebook, as we await the particulars about the carnival and parties that will take place on Easter weekend.
